Statement of Intent
It is the intention of the Borough of Lewisburg to provide applicants for development with written and graphic guidelines for the design of Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) within the Borough. These guidelines are implicitly linked to Article VI of the Lewisburg Zoning Ordinance. While this Design Manual provides guidelines for applicants to follow, it also provides the basis for the review of Traditional Neighborhood Development within the Borough. Section 708-A of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (Act 247 of 1968 as amended by Acts 67 and 68 of 2000) permits the Borough to enact these design guidelines by Ordinance. These guidelines have been adopted by the Borough of Lewisburg as a companion document to the Lewisburg Borough Zoning Ordinance of 2000.
